Ranking the best law firms and lawyers since 1990, International Publisher Chambers & Partners published its global ranking of law firms for 2019.  Once again HBN Law has been ranked with the Band 2 status.

Chambers & Partners writes: “This respected law firm has an impressive footprint throughout the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with offices in Aruba, Bonaire and Sint Maarten as well as Curaçao and Amsterdam. It is especially noted for the high quality of its litigation team and has a strong track record at all levels of the court system. Fellow practitioners add that HBN Law has “some very good corporate and finance lawyers” who are frequently instructed on high-value transactional work.”

In addition, Eric de Vries and Chris de Bres both received individual praise. Managing partner Eric de Vries is described as someone who continues to enjoy an outstanding reputation. His work spans litigation and corporate advisory matters. Peers agree that he is an “excellent lawyer” and “very sought after” by leading corporate clients. Commentators add that he is “definitely tier one.”

On Chris de Bres, the review states that he is “one of the go-to litigators for every case of importance.” Other interviewees describe him as a “smart guy” and “very good lawyer.” He has an impressive international client roster, which includes financial services and energy companies.
