Madelaine has been a member of the firm since 2006. She started her legal career in 1992 in Curaçao at the firm that is presently known as Soliana, Bonapart & Aardenburg. In 1997 she moved to Amsterdam were she joined the predecessor of Lexence, one of the top leading firms in the Netherlands.
In 2000 she switched to Hellingman Bunders, an Amsterdam firm specialized in corporate, intellectual property and real estate law. During her time in the Netherlands Madelaine successfully passed the Dutch Bar exams. She is an all-round lawyer with a vast experience in litigation concerning construction disputes, breach of contracts, intellectual property rights, tenancy law, attachments in general as well as maritime arrests and cross border child custody disputes.
Furthermore Madelaine advises on commercial contracts. Madelaine is known as a tenacious and driven litigator. She is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Curaçao Bar Association. Madelaine is currently the acting Chair of the Curaçao Bar Education Law Foundation (Stichting Beroepsopleiding).
