Darlène Matroos-Piar

Darlène is an experienced lawyer with a strong focus on employment law. Het daily practice encompasses termination of employment, restructuring and reorganization, acquisitions, obtaining working permits, performance of legal audits and advice on collective labor agreements and labor unions.

Darlène advises local and international companies and individuals and is an experienced (employment) litigator. She joined HBN Law & Tax in 2003 after graduating in Curaçao and The Netherlands. She has published several articles on employment law, and lectured civil law in Curaçao before students and clients.

Darlène obtained her Masters’ degree at the University of Curaçao and the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and speaks Dutch, English, Papiamento and Spanish.
